The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has announced that there will be interruptions in water supply today, Saturday 5th November, 2022 from 8am to 8pm in some parts of Kampala and Wakiso Districts.

“This is due to planned system upgrade works at the Mukono- North power substation, by a team from Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL),” said NWSC in a statement.

Subsequently, water supply to Mukono, Mbalala, Seeta, Sonde, Naguru, Bukoto, Ntinda, Naalya, Kisaasi and the surrounding areas, Namugongo, Kiira, Kyaliwajjala, parts of Butabika, Luzira, Portbell road, Bugolobi, Namanve, parts of Kasangati, Najjera, Gayaza, Kasangati and the surrounding areas, Matugga, Kabaga, Jjokolera and the surrounding areas will be interrupted.

NWSC advised customers to store enough water and use it sparingly as it takes time for the system to stabilize after a total plant shutdown.
