President Yoweri Museveni has extended condolences to the family of OPM Permanent Secretary Keith Muhakanizi who passed away yesterday, aged 60.
President Museveni said Friday morning that he was “shocked” by the news of Muhakaniz’’s death even though he was aware of his illness.
“I was aware of his illness but it was being managed, he came to see me before this round of treatment, it is sad that he didn’t make it.” Museveni said.
“I spoke to his wife in Milan and she told me what happened. Condolences to her, the family and the people of Uganda.”
Muhakanizi, who had served at the OPM for two years, died in Milan, Italt where he was flown last weekend for treatment.
