Former FDC leader and Presidential Candidate Col Dr Kizza Besigye has returned home after spending nearly two months in Europe.
Dr Besigye confirmed today upon return, that he was undergoing treatment in Geneva, Switzerland.
“I am back home at Kasangati. Having felt quite unwell during early Feb, I travelled abroad to seek a better assessment,” he said.
“The doctors, among others, advised that I take a therapeutic rest, which I dutifully did- staying with family in Geneva.”
Besigye’s conspicuous disappearance from the public caused a concern and was pointed out by social media users, fording his wife Mrs Winnie Byanyima to respond.
“How can someone being with his family in Geneva be news? Find something else to do!,” she tweeted on March 20th.
